EGO POWER+ Chain Saw, 20” Battery Powered Chainsaw, Electric Cordless, Includes 56V 6.0Ah Battery and Charger – CS2005

EGO Power+ CS2005 is a cordless chainsaw built for buyers who need a 20 inch cutting setup with the flexibility of battery power. Its standout feature is the brushless motor, which is designed to deliver power equivalent to a 55cc gas chainsaw, making it suited to larger branches, stumps, and tall tree cutting tasks.

The CS2005 combines a 20 inch bar with a full chisel tooth chain using a 3/8 inch pitch, 0.050 inch gauge chain, and 69 drive links. For shoppers comparing chainsaws, these details point to a tool designed around larger cutting jobs rather than smaller trimming tasks. The included 56V 6.0Ah battery is rated for up to 135 cuts on a 6x6, and the saw works with all EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries.

The onboard digital display adds information directly to the saw, allowing users to select speed modes and check battery charge status and safety brake indicator information. An LED work light on the front helps illuminate the cutting area when working at dusk or in situations without access to lights. The CS2005 also has an IPX4-rated weather-resistance design for working in various conditions.

The main trade-off is that this chainsaw is built around a specific 20 inch bar and battery system. Buyers who need a different cutting setup, prefer another power format, or already have different battery requirements should compare options carefully before choosing. Battery powered operation also means planning around the included battery and compatible batteries for continued use.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ CS2005 cordless chainsaw is a strong fit for shoppers who want a larger 20 inch saw with a brushless motor, included battery, and digital controls. Buyers who need a different size or a different power approach may want to consider other chainsaw options.
