Detailed Review
The BCJCLTS Telescoping Fruit Picker is an adjustable harvesting tool designed to help gardeners gather fruit from high tree branches without using a ladder. The aluminum extension pole adjusts from 5 to 20 feet, providing up to 26 feet of total standing reach for gathering apples, oranges, mangoes, and other tree fruits.
The pole features a flip lock mechanism that keeps the sections securely in place and prevents bending during use. At the working end, a 5-inch diameter basket hooks individual fruits from branches. To prevent bruising and surface scratches as fruit drops into the basket, the bottom is fitted with a bowl-shaped foam cushion for soft landings.
Attaching the basket requires no special tools. The basket mounts directly to the pole using an included metal clip, secured with a single long screw and nut. A non-slip handle on the lower section provides a steady grip while balancing and guiding the basket into high branches.
While the design is practical for standard tree fruits, the 5-inch basket diameter will not accommodate oversized produce. Buyers should also note that some quick manual assembly is required before the tool can be used.
Verdict: The BCJCLTS Fruit Picker is a solid choice for homeowners with tall fruit trees who want a ladder-free way to harvest without damaging their crop. It is well suited for picking apples, citrus, and mangoes safely from the ground.
