Detailed Reviews

The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a solid all-in-one printer designed specifically for home users seeking a compact, wireless solution. Its 4-in-1 functionality covers most household printing needs, while the auto document feeder with 100-sheet capacity makes batch operations more convenient. The integration with Alexa for smart ink management is a standout feature that eliminates the worry of running out of supplies unexpectedly and offers hands-free reordering capabilities.

However, this printer shows its limitations in performance metrics, particularly with color document printing at 4.4 ipm and photo printing at 65 seconds per 4" x 6" image. These slower speeds may not suit users with frequent printing demands or those requiring quick turnaround times. The printer excels in energy efficiency and is ideal for light-to-moderate home office use where convenience and smart features matter more than raw speed.

Verdict: The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a dependable home printer with innovative smart features and excellent energy efficiency, but its moderate performance speeds and 6.8/10 rating suggest it's best suited for casual home users rather than those with demanding printing requirements. If you prioritize convenience, wireless connectivity, and smart ink management over speed, this printer offers good value for typical household tasks.
