Detailed Review
The Bagean Stove Vent Filter is an aluminum grease-trapping replacement designed for kitchen range hoods. It blocks airborne grease from entering the exhaust system, helping your overhead fan run properly while keeping kitchen air fresher. If your current vent mesh is clogged or warped, this direct-fit replacement restores proper ventilation above your cooktop.
Constructed with a shiny aluminum finish and a symmetrical mesh pattern, the filter adds a neat, clean look to your hood. The frame is reinforced to resist bending out of shape over time, while the filter itself is made thicker to capture more grease during everyday cooking. A built-in handle makes it easy to pull the unit down whenever it is time for a cleaning.
Maintaining the filter is straightforward since it is safe for the dishwasher. For manual cleaning, you can soak it in hot water with soap and baking soda for 10 minutes, then scrub and rinse it clean.
Because this filter measures 14 5/16 by 11 13/16 inches (nominal 11.8 by 14.3 inches), it is strictly meant for specific compatible hoods and will not fit non-matching dimensions. You will also need to clean it periodically by hand or machine to keep grease from building up on the mesh.
Verdict: The Bagean vent filter is a solid, durable replacement for owners of compatible Broan, NuTone, and Kenmore 30-inch range hoods who need an easy-to-clean aluminum grease filter.
