Detailed Review
The G502 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse delivers responsive, cable-free control for players who need precise tracking and extensive input customization. Built with Lightspeed wireless technology, it removes the drag of a physical cord while maintaining the rapid signal transmission required for fast-paced titles.
At the center of its performance is the Hero 25K optical sensor, accessible through a free software update in G HUB. This sensor covers a sensitivity span from 100 up to 25,600 DPI with 1:1 tracking, over 400 IPS speed, and zero filtering, smoothing, or acceleration. Alongside raw tracking accuracy, the mouse provides 11 customizable buttons that allow you to map macros and shortcuts for distinct game profiles, complemented by a hyper-fast scroll wheel that quickly navigates long pages or game menus.
Power management is flexible, featuring compatibility with the PowerPlay wireless charging system to keep the device charged during active play or downtime. However, the PowerPlay charging mat is not included and must be purchased separately. Achieving the top-tier 25K DPI sensor capability also requires installing the G HUB software utility on your computer.
Verdict: This mouse is an excellent choice for gamers who want extensive button customization and high-end tracking accuracy without a tethered connection. It offers strong versatility for both competitive play and detailed desktop control.
