The Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt Lock is a robust smart lock solution designed for homeowners seeking remote access and advanced security features. Its seamless integration with popular smart home platforms like Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Assistant makes it a versatile choice for tech-savvy users. The ability to manage 100 access codes, monitor lock history, and receive customizable notifications provides excellent control and visibility over who enters your home and when.
Installation is straightforward and can be completed in minutes without professional assistance, making it accessible to most homeowners. The aged bronze finish offers aesthetic appeal while maintaining durability with BHMA's highest residential security certification. The auto-lock feature with customizable delays adds an extra layer of convenience and security for busy households. However, the lock's dependence on WiFi connectivity means performance may suffer during network outages, and the 7.6/10 rating suggests some users have encountered occasional reliability issues.
Verdict: The Schlage Encode Plus is an excellent mid-range smart lock for homeowners prioritizing smart home integration, remote access, and ease of installation. While it delivers strong features and security, potential buyers should ensure stable WiFi coverage and consider the moderate rating when evaluating reliability expectations.
