Detailed Review
The NETGEAR Orbi RBK763S Whole Home WiFi 6 Mesh System is built for large households struggling with weak wireless signals across multiple rooms. By pairing a main router with satellite units, it blankets areas up to 7,500 square feet with AX5400 Gigabit speeds while accommodating up to 75 connected devices at once.
This system replaces your existing standalone router and connects directly to your current cable, fiber, satellite, or DSL modem. It supports internet service plans up to 2Gbps, making it capable of handling demanding network activities like HD video gaming, web conferencing, and high-definition media streaming across the entire home.
For hardwired devices such as desktop computers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles, the hardware offers three Gigabit Ethernet ports on the router and two Gigabit Ethernet ports on the satellite. Setup is managed through the Orbi App, which also lets you run speed tests, manage settings, and track household data usage. Security features include a 1-year subscription to NETGEAR Armor and a 30-day trial of Smart Parental Controls.
While the hardware covers expansive spaces, the included software protections are temporary, meaning the parental controls require attention after 30 days and the security suite expires after a year. If you need coverage beyond the initial 7,500 square feet, extra satellite units must be purchased separately.
Verdict: The NETGEAR Orbi RBK763S is an excellent option for large homes that require high-speed wireless for dozens of devices and multiple wired connections. It offers strong network capacity and straightforward app management backed by a 1-year limited hardware warranty.
