Detailed Review
The TP-Link Deco 7 BE23 3-Pack is a dual-band mesh networking system built to blanket large homes with Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It eliminates dead spots across spacious layouts while handling heavy traffic from phones, laptops, and smart appliances. This setup suits busy households, remote workers, and gamers who need consistent coverage across dozens of active devices.
Equipped with Wi-Fi 7 technologies like Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4K-QAM, and Multi-RUs, the system delivers speeds up to 2882 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 688 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. Each node contains four high-gain antennas and four high-power front-end modules (FEMs), allowing the three-pack to cover up to 6,500 square feet and connect up to 150 devices. The system also uses AI-Roaming algorithms that adapt as you move around the house under a single network name.
Wired connectivity is strong, with each unit featuring two 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN ports capable of linking to multi-gigabit modems or high-speed wired gear. For backhaul traffic between units, the BE23 can use both wired and wireless links simultaneously through Wi-Fi 7 MLO. Security is handled by TP-Link HomeShield for IoT defense and parental controls, backed by TP-Link signing the CISA Secure-by-Design pledge, alongside native VPN client and server support.
Buyers should note that the BE23 is a dual-band system rather than a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 setup, meaning it operates strictly on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies without a dedicated 6GHz spectrum. Each node is also limited to two physical network ports, so homes with extensive wired setups may require a separate switch.
Verdict: The TP-Link Deco 7 BE23 3-Pack is an excellent choice for owners of modern Wi-Fi 7 devices wanting extensive whole-home coverage and multi-gig wired speeds. It delivers dependable roaming, strong backhaul stability, and robust built-in network security across large properties.
Who Should Buy It
