Detailed Review
The TOPTRO X9 Pro is a smart movie projector built for backyard movie nights, living rooms, and indoor workouts. Powered by the VIDAA operating system, it provides a smart TV experience with pre-loaded apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video alongside more than 1,000 live television channels. It solves the headache of slow interfaces and separate streaming sticks by including cloud storage, built-in privacy protection without data tracking, and a dedicated Kids mode.
Visual quality relies on a true 920 ISO ANSI lumens rating paired with a 130% NTSC color gamut and HDR10 support. While it decodes incoming 4K signals, it displays them at a native 1080p resolution, keeping details crisp in dark and moderately lit spaces. Setup takes seconds thanks to an integrated CMOS camera and AI sensor that automatically handle focus, 6D keystone adjustments, obstacle avoidance, and screen fit. You can also adjust framing using the front-bottom screw or the 50% to 100% digital zoom.
Audio performance stands out with two 20W dual-cavity speakers certified for Dolby Audio. Two-way Bluetooth 5.4 allows you to use the projector as a standalone music speaker or send sound out to external speakers wirelessly. For wired setups, HDMI ARC and CEC let you connect and control external soundbars through a single cable. Apple users can take advantage of native AirPlay 2 casting and Apple HomeKit control without downloading extra casting apps.
Keep in mind that although it processes 4K media, the physical display output tops out at 1080p. Mounting options include ceiling, wall, tripod, or desktop setups via a standard M5x10mm screw hole. The listing does not specify battery capability, so you will need access to a power outlet for outdoor use.
Verdict: The TOPTRO X9 Pro is an excellent option for movie watchers who want built-in streaming, simple automated setup, and powerful integrated sound. It suits anyone looking for a capable home theater projector without the clutter of extra streaming sticks or soundbars.
