Detailed Review
The Hasmikit Matte Black Privacy Door Lever set delivers an entire house update in a single 10-pack bundle. Designed specifically for interior spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, and offices, these handles solve the need for privacy locking without requiring complicated keyed mechanisms. The matte black finish and straight-line design give interior doors a clean, modern update that blends into various home decor styles.
Construction relies on zinc alloy and brass internal components covered in a thick powder coating. This combination ensures the hardware remains rust-free, making it well-suited for high-humidity areas such as main bathrooms and guest powder rooms. Each lever measures 4.6 inches in length with a 2.4-inch rosette diameter, offering a smooth touch and sufficient leverage for everyday use.
Installation is straightforward thanks to fully reversible levers that mount onto either left-handed or right-handed doors. The included universal latch adjusts between 2-3/8 inches (60mm) and 2-3/4 inches (70mm) backsets, fitting door thicknesses from 1.38 inches (35mm) to 1.78 inches (45mm). All mounting hardware and instructions are included, and each handle comes individually wrapped to prevent surface scratches during transit.
When it comes to trade-offs, note that the latch features a non-removable square faceplate, which may require mortising if your doors currently use round drive-in latches. Additionally, these levers use a turn-button mechanism that unlocks from the outside with a flat-tipped tool or coin, meaning they are built for interior privacy rather than keyed exterior entry security.
Verdict: This 10-pack from Hasmikit is a solid, practical choice for homeowners looking to refresh multiple interior doors with matching matte black hardware. It is especially suitable for anyone needing moisture-resistant privacy levers for bathrooms and bedrooms.
