Cudy Outdoor 4G LTE AC1200 Wi-Fi Router, IP65, PoE, LT500 Outdoor

The Cudy LT500 Outdoor router provides reliable internet access in locations where traditional wired connections are unavailable or impractical. By combining a 4G LTE Cat.4 modem with dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi, it delivers connectivity to properties, remote job sites, surveillance setups, and campgrounds. Inserting an active Nano SIM card gives you download rates up to 150 Mbps across your outdoor space.

Built for harsh environments, the unit carries an IP65 weatherproof rating and withstands temperatures ranging from -40 to 65C. It is engineered with 4kV surge and 8kV ESD protection to endure electrical spikes and severe weather. Setup is simplified through 24V passive Power over Ethernet, which delivers electricity and network connectivity through a single cable from the included PoE adapter.

Network performance benefits from dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) with beamforming and MU-MIMO, allowing up to 50 devices to connect at once. For secure networking, the firmware includes comprehensive VPN client and server tools supporting WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, ZeroTier, PPTP, and L2TP. It also acts as a Cudy Mesh main node to expand coverage with extra AP units, and provides WAN, WISP, and cellular failover to prevent downtime.

There are a few hardware trade-offs to keep in mind before installing. The wired PoE-in port is rated for 100M speeds rather than gigabit, which limits wired throughput. Additionally, cellular performance is bound by standard Cat.4 LTE parameters, so speeds will depend entirely on local carrier coverage.

Verdict: The Cudy LT500 is a capable choice for anyone needing tough, weatherproof outdoor internet via cellular data. It is well-suited for outdoor surveillance, large yards, and remote workspaces that require VPN security and flexible mounting options.
