Detailed Review
The Prestige Import Group Hartford standing ashtray is a dedicated floor-standing accessory designed for cigar smokers who need substantial capacity without cluttering a tabletop. Standing at 24 inches tall, it places the ash receptacle right at arm level next to a lounge chair or patio seating.
Crafted from stainless steel with a high polish finish, the unit features a deep bowl measuring 4 inches high and 8-3/4 inches in diameter (expanding to 11-5/16 inches across including the rests). This generous depth ensures that accumulated ash, cigar butts, and debris stay contained at the bottom without interfering with lit cigars placed on the four 1-3/4-inch stirrups.
Trade-offs center on its dedicated footprint and material upkeep. Because it stands on a 10-inch base and rises two feet high, it requires dedicated floor space rather than sitting on a tabletop. Additionally, the polished stainless steel surface will require regular wiping to keep ash residue and fingerprints from dulling the shine.
Verdict: The Hartford standing ashtray is an excellent choice for cigar enthusiasts hosting small groups who want a freestanding, durable stainless steel receptacle. Its deep basin and four-cigar capacity keep resting cigars clean and elevated.
