Detailed Review
The OILP Extra Large Cigar Ashtray provides a sheltered, high-capacity tabletop solution for people who smoke cigars or cigarettes outdoors and indoors. It is designed to solve common outdoor smoking hassles like flying ashes and waterlogged trays, making it suitable for patios, balconies, living rooms, and hospitality settings like bars or cafes.
The standout feature is the protective lid, which keeps rain from soaking the interior and blocks wind from scattering ashes across your furniture. When placed over the tray, the cover also conceals residual odors to keep your space fresh. In addition, the tray features an extra-large, deep bowl that stores plenty of debris, noticeably reducing the frequency of cleaning sessions. When maintenance is required, the deep basin rinses out easily with water.
For group settings, the layout includes four wide cigar rests arranged symmetrically around the rim. A central pillar provides extra support to keep cigars firmly in place and avoid accidental drops. The exterior features a vintage, pastoral aesthetic achieved through a hand-oiled process, allowing it to double as an attractive table accent when not in use.
As for trade-offs, the listing does not provide exact physical dimensions or specify the base material used beneath the hand-oiled finish. Its extra-large footprint also means it will take up a fair amount of space on compact side tables or crowded surfaces.
Verdict: The OILP Extra Large Cigar Ashtray is a dependable choice for patio smokers and hosts who want windproof coverage and ample room for multiple guests. If you need a functional, multi-rest ashtray that cuts down on cleaning time and handles the elements, this model is worth picking up.
