Highlights
- Material:Heavy Duty Zinc Alloy and Metal; Matte Black Finish; Modern Square Privacy Lever
- 【Applicable ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 Standard】Independently tested by Intertek, Grade 3 is the ANSI/BHMA rating for bored and preassembled locks and latches, and the standard's cycle test measures the life of the internal latch mechanism — the part that determines whether a lever still works years from now. Probrico door handles are built to 250,000 open-close cycles, about 34 uses a day for 20 years.
- 【Solid Zinc Alloy】Cast from solid zinc alloy in one continuous body — outer lever, inner turn button. Each complete lockset weighs about 1.8 lb, and the handle is solid through its cross-section rather than a hollow shell, which is 50% heavier than others. The square plate's clean lines suit modern, farmhouse and minimalist interiors.
- 【Stays Like New】The matte black coating resists tarnishing, fingerprints, and humidity. Passed the 72-hour salt-spray test, which means it can survive in a coastal home or a moisture-prone bathroom. Engineered to resist smudges, a quick wipe keeps it looking like new — no special cleaners, no polish.
- 【Privacy Function】Lock from the inside with the turn button. Turn the emergency slot with a coin, and the door opens in seconds — no key to keep track of. Designed for this purpose, use these as privacy door locks on bedroom, bathroom, home office, and guest room doors.
- 【Quick Install】Handle projection 4.84" (123mm), rosette 2.56" x 2.56" (65mm). Adjustable latch for a 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) backset; fits door thickness 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" (35-45mm). Reversible for left- or right-hand doors, all mounting hardware is included. Installs in minutes using just a screwdriver.

Detailed Review
The Probrico Matte Black Privacy Door Lever 10-Pack offers an easy way to outfit interior doors that require basic locking functionality, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, guest rooms, and home offices. Rather than hollow hardware, each lockset is cast in solid zinc alloy and metal, weighing approximately 1.8 pounds. The square rosette plate and clean lever lines pair well with modern, minimalist, and farmhouse design schemes.
Functionality centers on straightforward interior privacy. Inside the room, turning the integrated thumb button secures the door without needing a physical key. In situations where quick exterior access is needed, an emergency slot on the outer lever can be turned with a common coin to unlock it in seconds. Durability is backed by an Intertek-tested ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 rating, which verifies internal latch longevity across 250,000 operating cycles.
Daily maintenance and placement flexibility are notable strengths. The matte black finish has passed a 72-hour salt-spray test, confirming its resistance to tarnishing, humidity, and smudges in moisture-heavy environments like bathrooms or coastal homes. Routine upkeep requires only a quick wipe without specialized polishes. Installation is similarly straightforward, requiring only a screwdriver to fit standard doors, thanks to a reversible build and an adjustable latch mechanism.
Because these are privacy locksets with keyless coin-slot overrides, they are strictly intended for interior rooms and should not be used where keyed security is required, such as exterior entryways. Additionally, the latch and hardware accommodate door thicknesses ranging from 1-3/8 inches to 1-3/4 inches, so oversized custom doors will require different hardware.
Verdict: This ten-pack is an excellent choice for homeowners and renovators updating interior bedrooms and bathrooms. If you want solid metal privacy levers that install with basic tools and resist everyday bathroom moisture, this set delivers dependable everyday function.
