Detailed Review
The PBD Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna provides free over-the-air local channels for households looking to watch broadcast television in 1080p or 4K. Equipped with a built-in high-gain, low-noise amplifier, it captures television signals from broadcast towers up to 150 miles away in both urban and rural environments.
Aiming outdoor antennas can often be a hassle, but this model includes a 360-degree motorized rotor controlled by a wireless remote. This allows you to re-align the antenna from inside the house to find optimal reception for different broadcast directions. It also features dual television outputs directly on the unit, letting you connect two separate screens at the same time without purchasing an additional signal splitter.
For setup, the package includes mounting hardware, a detailed installation guide, and a 40-foot RG6 coaxial cable. The housing is built to be weatherproof for year-round outdoor use. It is also NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0) ready, meaning it supports modern broadcasting features like enhanced audio, higher refresh rates, and richer colors as local stations roll out the technology.
As an outdoor unit, it requires running cable and securing mounting hardware outside your home. Reception is limited to broadcast signals within its 150-mile operating range, and specific ATSC 3.0 features depend entirely on local broadcast station availability in your area.
Verdict: The PBD Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna is a great option for multi-TV households that need long-range reception and the convenience of remote-controlled motor rotation.
