Detailed Review
The Gorilla Grip Bath Tub Shower Mat provides secure footing and broad coverage for standard bathtub and shower floors. Designed for everyday family use, this flexible liner addresses the common issue of slick bathing surfaces by anchoring directly to the tub floor with hundreds of built-in suction cups.
Measuring 35 by 16 inches, this mat offers an extended footprint compared to standard inserts, covering more standing area during showers or baths. Its surface features a hexagon pattern with a pebble texture made from BPA-free materials, offering a soft feel underfoot while maintaining stability. To keep water moving freely toward the drain, hundreds of drainage holes are distributed across the liner so moisture does not sit stagnant underneath.
Upkeep is simple because the entire mat is safe to clean in a standard washing machine. After a wash cycle, it can be hung directly over the edge of the tub to air dry. Environmental impact is also considered in its production, as the mat is Climate Partner certified with a measured carbon footprint to support climate-conscious initiatives.
Installation requirements are specific, which is the main limitation to keep in mind. The suction cups require a smooth, clean, non-textured, and non-tiled surface to grip properly. It should not be used on textured shower pans or newly refinished tubs, as the suction mechanism will not work as intended on those surfaces.
Verdict: This mat is an excellent choice for households with smooth, non-refinished tubs looking for extensive surface coverage and easy machine washing. Its reliable suction grip and drainage design make daily shower routines more comfortable and manageable.
