Detailed Review
The Maxell 648200 CD-R pack provides bulk physical media for anyone looking to archive files, burn music albums, or store video projects. With 100 blank discs included, this spindle gives you a reliable way to make permanent copies of your digital media without relying solely on hard drives or cloud services.
Each disc holds up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes of audio and video content. The write-once CD-R format ensures that once your files are burned, they cannot be accidentally overwritten or deleted, making them well suited for video pre-mastering, multimedia work, and long-term records. The surface is built for noise-free playback across standard CD, DVD, and Blu-ray players, recorders, and portable DVD units.
Burning speeds range from 2x up to 48x, allowing you to write full discs in just a few minutes when using high-speed drives. The entire set comes stacked on a reusable spindle container, which keeps all 100 discs organized, protected from dust, and easy to access on your desk or shelf.
Because these are standard CD-R media, they are limited to a single recording session per disc and cannot be erased or reformatted for reuse. If your projects exceed 700MB or 80 minutes, you will need to split the data across multiple discs or look at higher-capacity media formats.
Verdict: Maxell 648200 CD-Rs are a practical choice for archiving audio, data, or video on write-once media. Anyone needing dependable bulk discs with wide player compatibility will find good utility in this 100-pack spindle.
