TRELINO Composting Toilet Evo L Gray, Portable Toilet for Camping & Outdoor, Odorless, 2X 2.6 gal Capacity, 13 x 15.4 x 16.9 inches

The TRELINO Composting Toilet Evo L Gray is a compact, self-contained portable toilet designed for mobile and off-grid environments such as camper vans, cars, and camping tents. By separating liquid and solid waste into distinct internal containers without requiring water or chemical additives, this unit offers an alternative to traditional chemical cassette toilets and public dump stations. Its self-contained design allows travelers to maintain personal sanitation habits while spending extended time away from built-in plumbing infrastructure.

At 13 inches wide, 15.4 inches deep, and 16.9 inches tall, the Evo L model fits comfortably inside tight vehicle layouts and small camping setups. Underneath the seat, it houses two separate 2.6-gallon holding tanks. The liquid waste container accommodates between 11 and 22 uses, while the solid waste container holds between 11 and 20 uses before needing to be emptied. The internal separation mechanism isolates urine from solid material, relying on a drying process to minimize ambient odor creation without relying on liquid deodorizers.

Constructed in Germany from recyclable ABS plastic, the outer housing is both water-resistant and resilient against outdoor wear. The structure supports a maximum weight capacity of 330 lbs, providing a sturdy sitting platform that feels stable despite its portable footprint. Because both inner containers lift out independently, users can empty either liquid or solid waste as needed without handling the entire assembly or disturbing the other tank.

Because this toilet operates on a dry separation system, users must manage individual waste containers manually rather than flushing into a sewer connection. The listing does not specify whether extra solids drying medium, cover material, or specialized liner bags are included in the package, so buyers will need to verify what accessories come in the box. Additionally, while the 16.9-inch height is manageable for compact spaces, it provides a fixed seating height that cannot be adjusted for uneven surfaces.

Verdict: The TRELINO Evo L Gray is a well-built choice for van lifers, tent campers, and road travelers who want an odorless, water-free sanitation option that does not depend on dump stations. Its dual 2.6-gallon tanks and 330 lb capacity make it a practical investment for medium-length off-grid trips.

Confirm on the listing:

• Check the exact contents of the box to see if waste container lids or starter accessories are included.
• Measure your vehicle or tent floor space to ensure the 13 by 15.4 inch base fits comfortably.
• Verify whether any specific bag liners or absorbent cover materials are recommended by the manufacturer.
• Check the overall clearance height to ensure 16.9 inches allows for comfortable seating inside your vehicle.

How to compare your options:

When evaluating portable off-grid toilets, compare total holding capacity against overall exterior dimensions. High-capacity tanks allow for longer stays between emptying cycles, but they require sufficient height and floor space inside your vehicle. Consider whether you prefer a dry separation system over a chemical cassette model. Dry separation units avoid water usage and chemical disposal restrictions, while requiring separate handling for liquid and solid containers.

Position the unit on a flat, stable surface inside your vehicle or tent to ensure stability during use. Double-check that both internal 2.6-gallon containers are properly positioned within the ABS housing prior to operation.

Keep the separation system clean by pulling out and emptying each waste container independently as they reach capacity. The smooth ABS plastic interior can be wiped clean using mild, non-abrasive cleaning routines to preserve the material finish.

Store the toilet in a cool, dry area when not in active use. Inspect the water-resistant outer body periodically to make sure the lid and structural housing remain properly aligned and clear of debris.
