Detailed Review
The Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum IZ862H is a versatile stick vacuum designed for whole-home floor care and pet hair cleanup. It combines automatic dirt detection with flexible hardware to simplify daily cleaning across multiple floor types without the hassle of a cord.
Cleaning performance centers on the Clean Sense IQ system, which uses an infrared sensor to detect unseen debris and automatically boost power. A visual indicator on the vacuum shows when the floor is completely clean, offering up to 50 percent better dirt pickup compared to standard ECO mode. Beneath the nozzle, the DuoClean PowerFins HairPro dual brushrolls dig into carpet fibers and engage hard surfaces directly, while the self-cleaning brushroll design prevents pet and human hair from wrapping around the roller.
For everyday convenience, the MultiFLEX wand bends to slide under low-profile furniture without requiring you to bend down, and it folds completely over for compact, freestanding storage. The integrated LED display provides real-time information on suction levels, Clean Sense IQ engagement, and remaining battery life. An integrated odor neutralizer guards against stale, unpleasant smells from collected dirt to keep rooms smelling fresh.
Keep in mind that the advertised 60-minute runtime is measured specifically when using the machine as a handheld vacuum in ECO mode. Operating at higher suction levels, using motorized brush heads, or engaging Clean Sense IQ will use battery power more quickly. The listing also does not mention the overall machine weight or dust cup volume.
Verdict: The Shark Stratos IZ862H is an excellent choice for homes with mixed flooring and shedding pets. It delivers smart, automatic power adjustments and convenient folding storage in one cordless package.
