Highlights
- COVERS STEEL SUPPORT BARS — The Meliusly SleeperSaver Classic is a sofa sleeper support board that creates a smooth, rigid surface between the metal frame and your mattress. Reinforced plywood panels act as a sleeper sofa bar shield, covering the steel bars that dig into your back, hips, and spine through thin mattresses. From the brand featured by New York Times Wirecutter.
- REINFORCED PLYWOOD CONSTRUCTION — This sofa bed mattress support board is built from premium plywood panels wrapped in durable industrial-grade fabric. The rigid panels sit between the frame and mattress, distributing weight evenly across the entire sleeping surface. The Original sofa bed board for under mattress support, engineered to eliminate dips, sags, and pressure points.
- FOLDS FOR EASY STORAGE — This pull out couch support board arrives pre-folded and unfolds in seconds. Place it on the sofa bed frame before adding the mattress. After your guests leave, fold it back up and store it in a closet, under a bed, or behind furniture. Works as fold out bed support with no tools and no permanent changes to your furniture.
- FIRMS UP SAGGING MATTRESSES — Provides sleeper sofa mattress support by distributing weight evenly across the bed frame, helping older mattresses feel firm and even again. A more effective alternative to a sofa bed mattress topper because it addresses the structural cause of discomfort, not just the surface. Extends the life of your mattress and frame at a fraction of furniture replacement cost.
- AVAILABLE IN QUEEN, FULL AND TWIN — Pick the size that matches your sofa bed. This couch bed board provides pull out bed support and works as a sofa bed bar shield for memory foam, innerspring, and coil mattresses. Meliusly is a family-owned brand that has been making sleeper sofa comfort solutions longer than any competitor.

Detailed Reviews
The Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Bed Support Board is a game-changer for anyone who has experienced the uncomfortable metal bars of a pull-out sofa bed digging into their back and hips. This Queen-sized board uses reinforced plywood wrapped in industrial-grade fabric to create a smooth, rigid sleeping surface that distributes weight evenly across the entire frame. The solution is particularly effective for older mattresses that have begun to sag, as it addresses the structural problem rather than just adding a surface layer of comfort like a topper would.
What sets this product apart is its practical design—it arrives pre-folded and requires absolutely no tools or permanent furniture modifications to use. Simply unfold it, place it on your sofa bed frame, add your mattress, and enjoy a significantly more comfortable sleeping experience. After your guests leave, it folds back up for easy storage behind furniture or in a closet, making it ideal for households that don't use their sleeper sofa daily.
Verdict: With an impressive 8.8/10 rating, the Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Bed Support Board is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to transform an uncomfortable pull-out sofa into a guest bed that people will actually want to sleep on. It's an affordable alternative to replacing your entire sofa or mattress, offering genuine structural support that makes a real difference in sleep quality.
