Detailed Reviews

The EGO Power+ ST1511T is a capable cordless weed trimmer that delivers solid performance for homeowners with small to medium-sized yards. The standout PowerLoad technology genuinely simplifies line replacement, eliminating the tedious manual winding that plagues traditional trimmers. The 15-inch cutting swath and dual-speed settings provide flexibility for various trimming situations, from light edging to thicker weeds, while the brushless motor ensures quiet, vibration-free operation that won't fatigue your arms during extended use.

Runtime is adequate for typical residential properties at 45 minutes, though users with larger yards or thicker vegetation may find themselves needing a second battery. The telescopic aluminum shaft is a thoughtful addition that enhances comfort and accessibility for different users. The fast 50-minute charging time and compatibility with the broader EGO platform add practical value, especially if you already own other EGO tools. However, the included 2.5Ah battery is on the smaller side, and the overall performance, while good, doesn't quite reach premium levels.

Verdict: The EGO Power+ ST1511T is a reliable, user-friendly cordless trimmer that excels in convenience and comfort for homeowners with average-sized yards. While it delivers solid value with its innovative features and strong warranty, the modest battery capacity and runtime keep it from reaching excellence, earning it a respectable 7 out of 10.
