Cybex Callisto G 360 Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat, Brown

The Cybex Callisto G 360 Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat in Brown provides a multi-stage seating solution for families seeking easier loading and long-term utility. By combining a full 360-degree swivel mechanism with an expandable weight capacity, this seat addresses the awkward angles and physical strain often associated with placing children into fixed vehicle seats. It is engineered to serve children across multiple stages, starting from early infancy through toddlerhood and continuing into their booster seat years.

The central feature of this design is its 360-degree rotation, which allows parents to turn the seat directly toward an open car door for straightforward loading and unloading in any recline angle. It operates in both rear-facing and forward-facing orientations. To keep pace with growing children, the seat supports weight ranges from 4 to 65 pounds when using the internal harness mode, and transitions to support children up to 120 pounds in booster mode. Passenger comfort adjustments include a 12-position headrest, breathable mesh fabric, and an integrated UPF50+ sun canopy to shade your child during rides.

Smart safety monitoring and installation features are central to the package. The integrated SensorSafe chest clip communicates real-time alerts if a child unbuckles while the vehicle is moving, remains seated for too long, or is left behind after the vehicle is turned off. Vehicle installation relies on the SafeLock system, which involves anchoring the top tether to the vehicle, routing the vehicle seatbelt through the guide track, clicking it into place, and closing the SafeLock door to secure the seat tightly. Dual dishwasher-safe cupholders are also included for everyday convenience.

While the seat covers a broad range of developmental stages, its design brings practical considerations. The comprehensive construction and rotating mechanism create a larger footprint than basic non-rotating seats. The installation method relies on routing vehicle seatbelts and anchoring top tethers, so buyers should check their specific vehicle row geometry and anchor placement. Additionally, the brown colorway is the primary visual style option specified for this model.

Verdict: The Cybex Callisto G 360 is a versatile convertible car seat for parents who prioritize easy door-side access and smart safety alerts. Its high booster weight limit and 360-degree rotation make it a practical single-seat option to handle multiple childhood growth stages.

How to compare your options:

When comparing convertible car seats, evaluate total weight limits alongside rotation capability. A 360-degree swivel feature offers distinct loading convenience compared to standard fixed seats, particularly when alternating between rear-facing and forward-facing modes. Compare headrest adjustment positions and integrated shade protection if adjustability and sun shielding are key priorities for your vehicle routine.

Install the car seat securely by following the SafeLock procedure. Fasten the tether to your vehicle anchor point, route the seatbelt through the guide track, click it shut, and close the SafeLock door tightly to ensure stability.

Use the 360-degree swivel feature by turning the seat toward your open vehicle door when securing or unbuckling your child. Always ensure the seat is fully locked into either a forward-facing or rear-facing position before starting your journey.

Adjust the 12-position headrest periodically as your child grows, ensuring the harness sits correctly for their weight mode according to the included instructions.

For routine upkeep, remove the two cupholders and wash them in your dishwasher as needed. Clean the breathable mesh fabric in accordance with the manufacturer care guidelines provided with the product.
