Detailed Review
The NightHug Viscose from Bamboo King Size Mattress Topper upgrades your existing bed by pairing plush cushioning with built-in spill protection. Designed to refresh aging or overly firm mattresses, this king-size layer softens the sleep surface while keeping your bed safe from everyday messes, spills, and sweat.
At the center of this topper is a 1500GSM high-density quilted filling that adds significant loft. This extra padding helps cushion common pressure points around your hips, shoulders, and back, creating balanced support for back, side, and stomach sleepers without forming body impressions. On the outside, the cover is made from viscose derived from bamboo, a skin-friendly, hypoallergenic material that facilitates airflow to keep hot sleepers cooler than standard heat-trapping foam.
Underneath the soft exterior, a quiet waterproof barrier stops liquids from soaking into the mattress below without making crinkly plastic sounds when you move. The topper secures to your bed using a deep-pocket elastic skirt designed to grip mattresses ranging from 8 to 21 inches deep, including pillow tops, memory foam, and adjustable beds. When it needs a refresh, the entire topper can be placed directly in the washing machine.
Keep in mind that this topper is specifically sized for king mattresses and requires an underlying mattress depth of at least 8 inches for a proper fit. Because it relies on plush high-density fiber rather than solid foam, it delivers soft cushioning rather than rigid, structural bed realignment.
Verdict: The NightHug King Mattress Topper is an excellent choice for hot sleepers, families, and pet owners who want plush pressure relief alongside quiet, reliable liquid protection. It quickly softens a firm mattress while staying firmly anchored in place night after night.
