Highlights
- 【Cooling Bamboo Mattress Topper】Made of 21% bamboo-derived viscose, 21% polyethylene cooling fiber and 58% polyester air-layer fabric. It brings instant cooling sensation once your skin touches the surface. The breathable waffle weave boosts air circulation all night long, effectively dissipating body heat and sweat.
- 【Good support, fluffy and soft】The whole mattress topper is filled with a gel memory foam layer and a blended memory foam (60% regular memory foam and 40% 3D slow-recovery foam). It keeps proper support while supplying fluffy softness, avoiding overly soft sinking or rigid hardness, enabling your body to relax fully during sleep.
- 【Cloud-Like Sleep】5 inch mattress topper perfectly fits natural body curves. Whether you are a side, back or stomach sleeper, the extra thickness creates you a cloud-like sleeping comfort, gently cradling your shoulders, waist and hips to release body pressure.
- 【All-Around Elastic Fitted】The stretchy full-edge elastic skirt stretches widely to snugly wrap mattresses. It holds the pillow top pad firmly in place without sliding or bunching up during sleep. Simple to install and remove for cleaning. No repeated adjustments needed when making beds, suitable for active sleepers and busy families.
- 【Multi-Size & Washable 】Available in Twin/Full/Queen/King sizes to match most beds. This pillow top cooling mattress pad can be folded compactly for easy storage and moving, ideal for apartments, college dorms and bedrooms. The durable fabric supports gentle cycle machine washing. Detailed Review
The DOWNCOOL 5 Inch Cooling Mattress Topper adds a substantial layer of cushioning to refresh a stiff or aging bed. Designed for sleepers who need extra relief across their shoulders, waist, and hips, it combines deep cushioning with surface-level heat management.
The topper relies on a dual-layer internal build featuring gel memory foam combined with a blend of 60% standard memory foam and 40% 3D slow-recovery foam. This construction is designed to deliver a plush feel while preventing you from sinking in too deeply or resting on a rigid board. On top, the cover is made from 21% bamboo-derived viscose, 21% polyethylene cooling fiber, and 58% polyester air-layer fabric. The breathable waffle weave helps circulate air continuously to move heat and sweat away from your body.
Keeping the topper stable on the bed is straightforward thanks to an all-around elastic fitted skirt. It stretches over the mattress edges to prevent shifting or bunching, even if you move around frequently during the night. For maintenance, the fabric is safe for gentle cycle machine washing, and it can be folded down compactly when you need to store it or transport it to a dorm or new apartment.
While the 5-inch profile offers substantial cushioning, adding that much height will significantly raise your overall sleep surface, which might require deeper fitted sheets. The listing also notes that the fabric requires gentle cycle washing rather than a standard wash cycle.
Verdict: This 5-inch topper is an excellent choice for side, back, or stomach sleepers looking to soften their current mattress while staying cool. Its secure elastic skirt and washable fabric make it a practical upgrade for bedrooms, apartments, and dorms.
