Detailed Review
The WAYSLA Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repellent is an outdoor pest deterrent designed to keep unwanted wildlife out of yards, gardens, and properties. Supplied in a two-pack, each unit uses a combination of ultrasonic frequencies and audible alarm sounds to frighten away animals without requiring physical traps. It provides a humane option for homeowners dealing with pests damaging plants or trespassing on outdoor structures.
Detection relies on a built-in PIR motion sensor that covers a distance of 25 to 40 feet across a wide angle. Once motion from animals like cats, dogs, deer, raccoons, or squirrels is detected, the unit triggers its sound output and illuminates a red LED light. When the area is clear, it automatically returns to an energy-saving standby mode to preserve battery power until the next intrusion.
For everyday operation, the top of each repellent features a high-conversion solar panel that recharges the unit during daylight hours. The housing is rated IP64 waterproof, allowing it to withstand rain, snow, and freezing weather. Installation is straightforward: each device can be staked directly into the dirt or hung in sunny spots around gardens, porches, garages, attics, or even taken along on camping trips.
There are a few practical limits to keep in mind. Because the system relies on solar charging, positioning in heavily shaded areas or indoor spaces like attics might limit continuous power unless placed near direct sunlight. Additionally, the feature descriptions contain a slight discrepancy regarding the motion sensor angle, mentioning both 110 degrees and 120 degrees in the listing text.
Verdict: The WAYSLA Ultrasonic Animal Repellent 2-Pack is a practical, low-maintenance choice for anyone wanting to protect gardens and yards from pests without traps. If you have sunlit outdoor areas needing coverage against cats, deer, or rodents, this pair offers a simple, solar-powered defense.
