Detailed Review
The GROWORT Cordless Hedge Trimmer is a battery-powered yard tool designed to shape bushes, hedges, and shrubs without the restriction of power cords. It suits homeowners and casual gardeners looking for a lightweight, maneuverable trimmer for routine landscape upkeep.
Equipped with a 22-inch spring steel dual-action blade and a motor running at 3200 RPM, this tool cuts branches up to 3/4 inch thick. The package includes two 21V 2.0Ah lithium-ion batteries, each delivering up to 30 minutes of runtime for a combined total of up to an hour. A dedicated fast charger refills an empty pack in about 60 minutes, while on-battery indicator lights make it easy to monitor remaining power.
At 5.9 pounds with a battery attached, the trimmer is easy to lift and maneuver. It features an ergonomic non-slip front grip, a plant-debris safety guard, and a dual-action trigger that requires pressing a safety lock before starting. For storage, it includes a blade cover to protect against accidental contact and a built-in hanging hole.
Keep in mind that this trimmer is built for branches up to 3/4 inch thick; thicker limbs must be trimmed in advance using hand pruners to avoid damaging the motor. The manufacturer also notes that batteries should rest for 5 to 10 minutes after use before being placed on the charger, and some basic assembly with the included bolts and screws is required out of the box.
Verdict: The GROWORT 22-inch hedge trimmer is a practical choice for everyday yard maintenance, offering solid cutting reach and continuous work time thanks to its two included batteries.
