Detailed Review
The Aspelve Carbonized Wooden Swing is a classic hanging seat built for yards, porches, patios, and indoor spaces. It provides an inviting, reliable spot for relaxing or family playtime, combining a traditional wooden aesthetic with functional outdoor resilience.
Crafted from solid wood treated with high-temperature carbonization and a protective surface coating, the seat is designed for structural stability and water resistance. Measuring 24 inches by 8 inches, the wide bench is finished with smooth, splinter-free edges for comfortable sitting. The suspension system includes a 78.7-inch (200 cm) adjustable rope paired with galvanized metal hardware, capable of supporting loads up to 500 pounds.
Setting up the swing is straightforward thanks to the complete included hardware kit. You can hang it from a solid indoor beam or a hardwood tree branch in the backyard. To ensure a safe installation, the manufacturer notes you should avoid mounting to evergreen trees, fruit trees, or any wood that easily splits.
In terms of maintenance trade-offs, the carbonized finish handles light rain well, but the seat needs to be taken indoors during heavy rain to maintain its best condition. Buyers will also need to verify that their branch or beam height aligns with the 78.7-inch maximum rope length.
Verdict: The Aspelve Wooden Swing is a dependable choice for anyone wanting a spacious, high-capacity swing for a sturdy porch beam or hardwood tree. It works best for households willing to store it inside during severe weather to protect the wood.
