Detailed Review
The Aspelve Carbonized Wooden Swing is a classic hanging seat designed for outdoor yards, porches, and sturdy indoor spaces. It provides a simple recreation and relaxation spot for both children and adults looking to add a functional wooden fixture to their home.
The seat is constructed from solid wood that undergoes a high-temperature carbonization treatment alongside a protective surface coating. This treatment process improves the wood's overall strength and moisture resistance while keeping the surface smooth and splinter-free. Measuring 18 by 8 inches, the enlarged platform offers stable support and pairs with heavy-duty galvanized metal hardware.
For hanging, the swing comes with an adjustable rope extending up to 78.7 inches (200 cm) that supports a weight capacity of up to 440 pounds. Setup is straightforward on an indoor beam or a hardwood tree branch. The manufacturer advises avoiding evergreens, fruit trees, or wood prone to splitting to ensure secure installation.
A notable limitation involves weather exposure. While the carbonized wood handles light rain, the manufacturer advises bringing the swing indoors during heavy rain to maintain its condition over time. The listing also does not specify whether extra tree straps or hanging hooks are included in the box.
Verdict: The Aspelve Wooden Swing is a solid choice for homeowners and families wanting an attractive, high-capacity seat for a patio, garden branch, or indoor beam. As long as you have a suitable hardwood tree or beam and can shelter it from heavy storms, it offers a dependable hanging seat for everyday use.
