Detailed Review
The XIWEYLA 72-Piece Sandpaper Set is a dedicated manual detail-sanding kit designed for hobbyists, crafters, and woodworkers. It provides an all-in-one solution for smoothing small parts, tight corners, and intricate curves on wood, resin, plastic, and metal without needing power tools.
The kit stands out for its extensive grit range, offering 13 distinct levels spanning from coarse 80 grit up to ultra-fine 3000 grit. To prevent confusion, the 72 sheets are organized into three distinct color zones: yellow for coarse work (80, 100, 120), red for medium smoothing (150, 180, 220), and black for fine polishing (240 to 3000). With 24 sheets per color group, identifying the right grit is straightforward and visual.
Ease of use is supported by the included mini sanding block, which features an ergonomic profile designed to reduce hand strain during prolonged sessions. The sheets attach directly via a hook and loop backing, allowing quick swaps between rough shaping and high-grit finishing without alignment issues or peeling during use.
Because this set is specifically built around a mini hand block, it is naturally limited when tackling large, flat surfaces like wide tabletops or floors. Additionally, the manufacturer does not specify the exact measurements of the block or sheets, so fitting third-party replacements later on may require checking sizes manually.
Verdict: This XIWEYLA kit is an excellent, organized choice for anyone working on resin crafts, model building, or fine furniture restoration. If you need precise control and a comprehensive grit selection for small-scale projects, it delivers everything ready out of the box.
