Detailed Review
The Rough Country Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover provides secure bed protection for 2019 to 2026 Ram 1500 and Ram TRX trucks. Combining the security of a solid cover with the convenience of a rolling design, it shields your gear from both theft and harsh weather while keeping your truck profile clean with a flush-fit matte black finish.
Daily operation is straightforward thanks to a quick-release cable that unlocks the cover so you can roll it toward the cab in seconds. When you close it, the auto-latching system engages automatically to lock it firmly in place. When hauling taller gear, built-in nylon safety straps with quick-release clips keep the rolled cover bundled securely against the cab so it will not shift while driving.
Underneath the surface, aluminum slats and a black powder-coated aluminum frame resist corrosion and can support up to 600 pounds of evenly distributed weight. To handle wet weather, integrated drain tubes route standing water away from the truck bed. Mounting the unit is equally hassle-free, as the entire assembly installs in minutes with no drilling or tools required.
While the heavy-duty build offers substantial strength, keep in mind that the 600-pound load capacity requires weight to be evenly distributed across the surface rather than concentrated in one spot. Compatibility is also strictly limited to 2019-2026 Ram 1500 and TRX models, so owners of other truck makes or older generations will need a different model.
Verdict: This hard roll-up cover is an excellent choice for Ram 1500 and TRX owners who want sturdy aluminum protection, rapid bed access, and a simple no-drill installation backed by a 5-year replacement warranty.
