Detailed Review
The iLive Under Cabinet Music System is a dedicated audio hub designed to mount directly beneath kitchen cabinetry. It frees up prep surfaces while providing multiple ways to listen to music, podcasts, or radio broadcasts while cooking or starting the morning routine.
Audio options cover both wireless and physical connections. Bluetooth 5.3 provides straightforward wireless pairing for mobile devices, while a digital PLL FM tuner accesses local broadcast stations. For wired playback, the unit includes an auxiliary 3.5mm audio input alongside a USB port that handles MP3 file playback directly through the built-in stereo speakers.
The system also doubles as a kitchen utility device. It features a negative LCD display with a white backlight and dimmer control to show the digital clock, a single alarm, and an integrated timer. An LED kitchen light is built right into the housing, giving you overhead illumination over your countertop work area.
As for limitations, the unit includes an FM receiver but does not support AM radio bands. It is limited to a single alarm setting, and the listing does not specify speaker wattage output or the exact dimensions and hardware needed for installation.
Verdict: The iLive Under Cabinet Music System is a practical pick for anyone who wants hands-free counter space and multiple playback options in the kitchen. It brings together Bluetooth streaming, FM radio, a timer, and task lighting in one compact unit.
