Detailed Review
The NETGEAR Nighthawk RS700S is a high-performance tri-band standalone wireless router built to deliver the latest WiFi 7 networking standard. It is designed for households handling data-intensive activities such as real-time gaming, 4K and 8K media streaming, UHD video conferencing, and AR or VR entertainment.
Equipped with WiFi 7 technology, the unit provides speeds up to 19Gbps, which is 2.4 times faster than previous WiFi 6 hardware. Its redesigned chassis and integrated antenna layout occupy a smaller physical footprint while distributing 360-degree wireless coverage across spaces up to 3,500 square feet.
For high-speed wired setups, the router features a 10 Gig internet port alongside one 10 Gig and four 1 Gig LAN ports. It is compatible with any internet service provider, giving you flexible connection options for your home network equipment.
Keep in mind that this unit is strictly a standalone router and does not include an integrated cable modem. If you use cable or fiber internet that requires coax inputs or modem hardware, you will need to connect it to a separate standalone modem.
