Detailed Review
The Greenworks 60V 16-inch Cordless String Trimmer is built for homeowners who need serious cutting capacity for thicker grass and larger yard spaces. Powered by a 60V brushless motor, it delivers consistent cutting output and extended runtime without the hassle of mixing gas or handling pull cords.
A standout element is the 16-inch cutting path, which covers substantial ground quickly across medium and large properties. Line replacement is handled by the Load N' Go trimmer head, designed for quick reloading when you run out of line. The shaft is attachment-capable, allowing you to swap on compatible Greenworks attachments to handle different landscaping tasks with a single powerhead.
For comfort during extended yard work, the package includes an adjustable shoulder strap to distribute weight evenly and ease arm strain. It also comes ready to work with a 4.0Ah battery, a charger, and a spool. The battery works across more than 75 tools in the Greenworks 60V system, and both the trimmer and battery are backed by a 4-year limited warranty.
As for trade-offs, a high-voltage 60V battery pack inherently adds heft compared to smaller, lower-voltage trimmers, though the shoulder strap helps manage the load. Additionally, attachment compatibility is limited to Greenworks systems, and the product data does not specify the exact total tool weight or decibel output.
Verdict: This cordless string trimmer is an excellent choice for homeowners with medium to large yards who want a wide cutting path, quick line reloading, and expandable attachment options. It provides solid 60V power while fitting directly into an extensive cordless outdoor tool platform.
