Kwikset Casey Interior Privacy Door Handle with Lock, Door Lever For Bathroom

This interior privacy door lever provides basic locking security for rooms where personal privacy is needed, such as bathrooms and bedrooms. Inside the room, engaging the lock takes a quick turn of the integrated button. If someone needs access from the outside in an emergency, the hardware can be unlocked using the provided release tool.

Installation is straightforward and designed for do-it-yourself setup using only a screwdriver. The handle is fully reversible to accommodate both left-handed and right-handed door swings. It fits standard interior door thicknesses between 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches, and the latch backset adjusts between 2-3/8 inches and 2-3/4 inches with a simple twist during assembly. The package includes multiple latch face options, a round corner strike, screws, a rosette, and an Allen wrench.

For everyday peace of mind, the hardware holds a BHMA Grade 3 certification covering its security, durability, and finish. It also features a Microban surface treatment designed to keep the hardware 99.9% cleaner than unprotected surfaces. The product is backed by a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty.

As a trade-off, this lever is certified to Grade 3 residential standards rather than heavier commercial grades, making it suited primarily for light-to-medium home use. Additionally, exterior unlocking relies on having the specific release tool on hand, as it does not use a traditional keyed cylinder.
