Detailed Review
The Delta Arvo 14 Series Matte Black Bathtub Shower Faucet Set combines a fixed showerhead with a detachable handheld unit. This setup suits homeowners and renovators who want flexible bathing options without installing separate wall mounts. Because the package includes the MultiChoice Universal Shower Valve, you receive the behind-the-wall rough-in needed for a complete installation from the start.
Daily functionality centers on the In2ition 2-in-1 dual shower head. You can dock the hand shower directly into the main head for standard overhead rinsing, or detach it on its hose for targeted washing. Water output adjusts across four distinct spray settings: full body spray, massaging spray, a combination full body with massage, and a pause mode. For ongoing maintenance, Touch-Clean spray holes allow you to rub off calcium and lime deposits with a finger rather than soaking the fixture in chemical cleaners.
Safety and durability are handled by internal balancing and tested surface treatments. The Monitor pressure-balanced valve cartridge actively manages hot and cold water pressure, preventing sharp temperature shifts when household appliances run or toilets flush. On the outside, the matte black finish undergoes salt fog testing for over 12 hours, resisting blistering, cracking, and peeling under corrosive conditions.
While the set includes the valve body and trim, it is designed around the Delta MultiChoice system, meaning future trim changes remain tied to compatible Delta trim kits. Additionally, the provided specifications do not list the exact hose length or water flow rate, which may matter to buyers with specific spatial requirements.
Verdict: This faucet set is an excellent choice for anyone updating a bathroom who wants the versatility of a hand shower alongside built-in anti-scald protection. It delivers reliable temperature control, easy cleaning, and long-term finish durability backed by a lifetime limited warranty.
