Detailed Review
The Gold Armour Double Camping Hammock is a fully equipped outdoor shelter designed for campers, hikers, and backyard loungers seeking bug-free relaxation. Sized at 118 inches long by 78 inches wide, it offers a roomy platform built from 210T nylon parachute fabric that supports up to 500 pounds, making it suitable for solo lounging or sharing with a partner.
A key highlight is the reversible 2-in-1 layout. The attached bug net protects against outdoor pests when suspended using the two included 137-inch ropes. When insect protection is not needed, flipping the hammock over transforms it into a standard open double hammock without hassle.
Setting up is straightforward thanks to the included suspension system. You get two 10-foot tree-friendly straps featuring no-stretch, triple-stitched seams and 18+1 loops per strap (36 loops total). The two heavy-duty steel carabiners snap directly into any loop to dial in height and tension without requiring manual knots, and the straps offer a combined 1000-pound breaking strength.
In terms of trade-offs, the bug net relies on setting up two independent 137-inch guide ropes rather than using built-in pop-up spreaders. Additionally, the manufacturer does not specify the total packed weight or bundle dimensions, which may matter to ultralight backpackers counting ounces.
Verdict: The Gold Armour Double Hammock delivers a complete, durable setup with reliable tree straps and insect protection. It is an excellent choice for anyone needing a sturdy, two-person hammock ready for camping trips right out of the box.
