Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt – Insulated Camping Quilt for Warm Sleeping

The Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt provides dedicated insulation for campers who sleep suspended off the ground. By wrapping beneath your hammock, it blocks chilly breezes and prevents heat loss through the bottom of your setup, keeping you warm when relaxing or sleeping outdoors.

Built with a durable 20D ripstop nylon outer shell, the underquilt features signature reinforced stitching and a water-resistant coating to handle changing outdoor weather. Inside, high-density poly-fill synthetic insulation provides a 40-degree temperature rating, making it suitable for cool nights across all seasons.

Setup is straightforward across different hammock styles thanks to customizable tighteners. These adjusters allow the underquilt to fit both single and double hammocks of various shapes and sizes. When it is time to hike, the entire quilt packs down small into its spacious stuff sack and adds just 1.77 lbs to your backpack.

The primary trade-off is the 40-degree rating limit. Campers venturing into extreme freezing conditions below 40 degrees will require a lower-rated system, and the synthetic poly-fill does not offer the ultralight compressibility of natural down.

Verdict: The Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt is a practical, lightweight choice for backpackers and campers looking to stay warm in cool weather. It offers dependable weather resistance and broad hammock compatibility for three-season trips.
