Detailed Review
The Helvex Gobi Waterless Urinal is a wall-mounted commercial and residential fixture designed to eliminate the need for flushing water in men's restrooms. By removing water usage entirely, it offers a practical path toward meeting green building and water efficiency targets, including earning USGBC LEED points.
Operation is completely touch-free and hygienic right out of the box. Unlike some alternative systems, this model operates without requiring extra consumables such as refillable gels or specialized sealing liquids, keeping everyday maintenance straightforward.
Construction relies on ultra high gloss vitreous china with a clean white finish. This material provides strong resistance against scratching, tarnishing, and corrosion over time. Daily upkeep is simple, needing only a damp cloth and water to wipe down the surface.
In terms of trade-offs, the fixture measures 28 inches high by 16.5 inches wide and 11.52 inches long, so buyers will need adequate wall space and must consult the provided installation guide to complete the wall-mounted setup. Additionally, it provides purely water-free operation, which may not suit facilities looking for conventional flush systems.
Verdict: The Helvex Gobi is a great match for property managers, builders, and homeowners seeking a low-maintenance, water-saving fixture that eliminates the ongoing cost of liquid sealant refills.
