Detailed Review
The Bestway Steel Pro MAX 12 ft. x 30 in. Above Ground Swimming Pool Set provides a dedicated swimming space for backyards. Sized to hold 1,710 gallons of water at 90 percent capacity, it serves households wanting a mid-sized pool that balances water volume with straightforward seasonal assembly.
Structural support comes from a heavy-duty steel frame designed to resist corrosion. The pool utilizes the FrameLink System, which uses specialized joints to secure the metal frame pieces together tightly. This design allows for simple assembly and breakdown without needing additional tools, making it easy to put up for the summer and pack away for off-season storage.
Durability extends to the basin itself, which uses a 3-layer Duraplus liner. This reinforced material is built for puncture resistance, giving the pool the physical strength needed to handle regular activity across multiple seasons. In addition, the set includes a 330-gallon filter pump, two attachment hoses, and one Type I filter cartridge to help manage basic water circulation from day one.
At 30 inches deep, this pool is built with a low wall height that may not suit swimmers wanting deeper water. It also requires complete takedown when the warm season ends, and the package does not mention accessories like ladders or protective ground cloths.
Verdict: The Bestway Steel Pro MAX is a solid choice for homeowners looking for a tool-free, steel-framed pool with essential filtration included. It offers dependable materials and an accessible 30-inch depth for relaxed backyard use.
