Detailed Review
The ROMANProducts KLASS Woven Wallpaper Smoothing Tool is a 13-inch handheld smoother built specifically for delicate wallcoverings. Standard rigid plastic scrapers can easily scuff fragile surfaces, making this specialized tool a critical accessory when hanging high-end, sensitive papers.
At the core of the tool is a soft 5mm woven polyester nap. This specific fabric surface glides over fragile materials without scratching, tearing, or marring the surface. It provides the gentle pressure necessary to smooth out air pockets and secure coverings such as delicate silk or hand-painted wallpaper without damaging the artwork or fine fibers.
One clear trade-off is the specialized focus of the design. While the woven nap is ideal for fragile and specialty papers, standard heavier wallpapers or vinyls may not require this level of delicate care. Additionally, the listing does not specify details regarding handle materials or cleaning instructions for the polyester nap.
Verdict: The ROMANProducts KLASS 13-inch smoother is a smart choice for anyone installing fragile, silk, or hand-painted wallcoverings. Its soft woven build ensures surfaces stay pristine throughout the installation process.
