Detailed Review
The AGPTEK Bluetooth 5.4 Shower Radio Speaker brings audio into wet environments like bathrooms, pools, and campsites without risking steam damage. It combines wireless streaming with an onboard FM radio, making it a versatile option for anyone who wants morning news or music during their daily routine.
Sound is driven by a 5W driver tuned for clear stereo output and rich bass. Connectivity is flexible: you can pair your phone, tablet, or computer via Bluetooth 5.4, tune into up to 40 preset FM stations, or insert a storage card up to 128GB to play tracks directly. The built-in 2000mAh battery charges fully in 3 hours and delivers up to 12 hours of listening, assisted by an 8-minute auto power-off function and low-power voice alerts to save energy.
Mounting is straightforward thanks to the detachable suction cup for smooth tiles and glass, alongside a removable lanyard for hanging from hooks or branches. The independent silicone buttons prevent accidental presses with wet hands, and the integrated microphone lets you answer incoming calls or redial the last number with a double press.
A few limitations are worth keeping in mind. While it carries an IPX5 water resistance rating that easily handles splashes and bathroom steam, it cannot be submerged or soaked in water. Additionally, it does not tune into AM radio frequencies, and the built-in LCD clock alternates with the radio display and only supports a 24-hour time format.
Verdict: This speaker is an excellent, practical pick for listeners who want reliable FM reception, card playback, and Bluetooth streaming in splash-prone areas. If you need a mountable bathroom speaker and do not mind 24-hour timekeeping, it offers strong all-around utility.
