Detailed Review
This corded detail sander delivers targeted sanding power for tight spots, furniture touch-ups, and precise surface prep. Powered by a 1-amp motor running at 12,000 orbits per minute, it provides consistent motion across various sanding projects.
Handling dust is straightforward thanks to two collection choices. You can use the included micro-filtration dust box directly on the tool, or connect a vacuum hose to the 1-1/4-inch dust port. A dust-sealed on/off switch prevents stray particles from clogging the internal contacts.
Comfort features include an ergonomic shape with a soft rubber grip and internal counterweight balancing to help reduce hand fatigue from motor vibration. Swapping out abrasives is also quick, utilizing a standard hook-and-loop attachment system.
As a corded, single-speed tool, it must remain plugged into a power source, and it does not offer adjustable speed settings for delicate materials. Additionally, it comes with just three pieces of sandpaper in the package, so you will need to supply extra sheets for larger jobs.
Verdict: This detail sander is an effective, user-friendly choice for hobbyists and DIYers needing a steady 1-amp finishing tool with reliable dust collection options.
