Mustee 557WHT Durawall Fiberglass Bathtub Wall Surround, White

The Mustee 557WHT Durawall Bathtub Wall Surround is a molded fiberglass enclosure system built to upgrade existing bathtub alcoves. It provides a clean, solid wall surface for homeowners and renovators tackling bathroom remodels, especially when dealing with older framing that might not be perfectly square.

Constructed from high-grade reinforced molded fiberglass, the system is designed for strength and impact resistance. Its five-piece configuration includes seamless corner sections and overlapping joints that work together to create a watertight seal against moisture. Additionally, four molded-in shelves are built directly into the panels, offering dedicated storage for shampoos and soaps with self-draining surfaces to prevent water pooling.

A notable installation advantage is the ability to trim the panels directly on site. This flexibility helps when fitting the surround into out-of-plumb alcoves or when modifying the layout to work alongside an existing window. Keep in mind that while it supports window installations, the matching MUSTEE duratrim window kit (model 300.600W) is not included and must be sourced separately.

Verdict: The Mustee 557WHT Durawall surround is a reliable choice for anyone needing a sturdy, customizable bathtub surround that accommodates irregular alcove walls and provides integrated storage.
