Detailed Review
The TECKNET Laptop Cooling Pad is a slim cooling stand designed to pull heat away from laptops measuring between 12 and 17 inches. It targets everyday users, gamers, and remote workers who notice their machines heating up during extended sessions or demanding tasks.
Active cooling is handled by three 110mm fans operating at 1200 RPM, which draw cooler air from underneath to keep internal temperatures down. The unit runs directly on USB power from your computer, eliminating the need for bulky external wall adapters. It also includes an integrated on/off switch and blue LED lights that visibly confirm when the fans are spinning.
For usability, the stand includes two height settings to improve your viewing angle during long work periods. Integrated rubber pads on both the surface and base ensure your laptop stays seated firmly without sliding around. Because it utilizes a USB-A to USB-A cable for power, the stand includes a secondary USB port to replace the one used on your machine, allowing you to connect a mouse, keyboard, or audio accessory.
A notable limitation involves connectivity. The included cable is USB-A to USB-A, meaning laptops equipped solely with USB-C ports will require a separate adapter to draw power. Additionally, while TECKNET offers lifetime support for the cooler, accessing that coverage requires product registration.
Verdict: The TECKNET Laptop Cooling Pad is a practical choice for anyone needing adjustable ergonomics and steady airflow for 12 to 17-inch devices. If your setup has an available USB-A port and you want a simple, dual-port cooler, it fits the bill nicely.
