Detailed Review
This 40V cordless string trimmer and edger provides a complete, battery-powered setup for routine yard maintenance. Designed with a 13-inch cutting swath and capable of reaching speeds up to 8500 RPM, it tackles overgrown grass and thick weeds without the hassle of gas mixtures or tangled extension cords.
A standout function is the PowerCommand dial, which lets you choose between maximum power for dense growth and maximum runtime for larger lawns. The PowerDrive transmission directs steady power to the cutting line, while the automatic feed spool advances string on demand so you never have to bump the tool against the ground.
Transitioning between trimming open areas and edging lawn borders takes only a few seconds. The tool features an adjustable telescoping shaft and soft-grip auxiliary handle, allowing users to adapt the overall height and grip angle for better balance and comfort during long trimming sessions.
Because it runs on a single 2.0Ah lithium ion battery, very large yards may require a break for recharging, though the included fast charger completes a full cycle in two hours or less. Additionally, the tool relies specifically on the AF 100 spool format for line replacement.
Verdict: This cordless tool is an ideal fit for homeowners seeking an adaptable, dual-purpose yard tool with fast recharge times and hassle-free line feeding. It delivers strong cutting speeds and convenient adjustments for everyday lawn upkeep.
