Detailed Review
The Viper by GLD Products League Pro Dartboard Set provides a complete setup for adult players wanting an authentic steel-tip experience at home. It combines a tournament-sized 17.75-inch board with the necessary accessories, solving the hassle of buying mounting gear, darts, and scoring equipment separately.
The board is constructed from compressed sisal fibers that self-heal as darts are pulled out, maintaining playing quality over regular use. To maximize target space and keep shots on the board, it features a staple-free bullseye and a circular galvanized steel spider wire. The thin radial wires help cut down on deflections and bounce-outs during play.
Maintenance is straightforward thanks to a bright white, detachable number ring. Removing the ring lets you rotate the dartboard periodically, shifting impact away from heavily targeted areas so the sisal fibers recover evenly. For match tracking, the included MDF chalkboard comes ready with chalk and an eraser, set up for tournament-style Cricket and 01 games.
One clear limitation is the dart count: the package comes with only three ViperStrike steel tip darts, which provides a single turn for one player. If you plan to host matches with multiple people throwing their own sets, you will need extra darts. Additionally, the manual chalkboard requires routine wiping and creates chalk dust.
Verdict: This set is an excellent choice for players seeking an authentic, regulation-sized sisal dartboard with an organized scoring station and setup hardware right out of the box.
