Alera Valencia Series 16 by 22 by 22-Inch 3/4 Box and File

The Alera Valencia Series 16 by 22 by 22-Inch 3/4 Box and File provides dedicated storage for workspaces needing built-in organization. Designed to mount underneath an existing desk, it combines a utility box drawer with a larger filing drawer to keep essentials close at hand without occupying floor space.

Daily usability is supported by full-extension ball bearing slides on the file drawer, allowing you to reach folders tucked in the very back without straining. The drawers feature sturdy four-sided construction with separate front panels, paired with locking hardware to keep paperwork and valuables secure during and after office hours.

The unit incorporates durable 3mm edge banding to withstand routine knocks from desk chairs and footwear. Because it is not a freestanding pedestal, it cannot sit directly on the floor by itself and relies entirely on being attached under a compatible worksurface.

Verdict: The Alera Valencia under-desk unit is a sensible addition for anyone wanting hanging file space and locked storage suspended directly beneath their worktop. It works best if you have a desk surface ready for under-mount installation.

A great fit if you:

• Need under-desk hanging file and supply storage
• Want locking drawers to secure work documents
• Prefer suspended storage that stays off the office floor
• Value smooth, full-access drawer slides for filing

Consider something else if you:

• Need a standalone, freestanding pedestal cabinet
• Lack a suitable worksurface to mount storage underneath
