TOTO® WASHLET® KS5 Electronic Bidet Toilet Seat with Instantaneous Water Heating, Self-Cleaning Wand and Heated Seat, Elongated, Cotton White - SW3216#01

The TOTO WASHLET KS5 Electronic Bidet Toilet Seat (model SW3216#01) brings warm water cleansing, seat warming, and integrated air drying to standard elongated toilets. Designed in a Cotton White finish, this electronic seat upgrades daily bathroom routines by providing continuous warm water and customizable user settings. It suits homeowners who want a feature-complete electronic bidet seat with personal preset options for multiple family members.

Key features center on water delivery and user comfort. The unit features instantaneous water heating, supplying a continuous stream of warm water that does not run cold during use. You can select an oscillating stream setting for a broader wash area, while the self-cleaning wand maintains cleanliness between uses. Comfort is further enhanced by the SoftClose heated seat, which offers consistent warmth across the entire seating surface, and an adjustable warm air dryer for post-wash drying. A built-in nightlight illuminates the toilet bowl with a soft glow for low-light visibility.

In terms of trade-offs, this electronic seat is specifically sized for elongated toilet bowls, so standard round toilet bowls will not accommodate it. Because it includes electronic heating, drying, and lighting features, buyers must ensure they have a suitable electrical setup near the toilet. Additionally, while the wireless remote includes four user memory presets, the product listing does not state specific dimensions, cord length, or detailed water pressure ranges, which requires verifying space requirements before purchase.

Verdict: The TOTO WASHLET KS5 is a well-rounded electronic bidet seat for elongated toilets, offering continuous warm water, heated seating, and individual user profiles. It is an ideal pick for households looking for a continuous heating system and dedicated remote controls to elevate daily personal care.

A great fit if you:

• Want an uninterrupted warm water stream for extended cleansing sessions without running out of heated water halfway through use.
• Share your home with up to four family members who wish to program and store their own preferred cleansing options using the wireless remote control.
• Appreciate added bathroom comforts such as a full-coverage heated seat, a gentle toilet bowl nightlight, and an adjustable warm air dryer.

Consider something else if you:

• Have a round toilet bowl installation, as this Cotton White model requires an elongated toilet fixture for proper seating alignment.
• Seek a minimalist or non-electric bidet setup that does not rely on an electrical power source or battery-powered remote controls.

Confirm on the listing:

• Measure your toilet bowl to confirm it is an elongated shape and check whether the mounting hole distance matches your fixture.
• Check the proximity and availability of a suitable electrical outlet near your toilet, as electronic heating and remote functions require power.
• Confirm what mounting hardware, water supply adapters, or remote mounting brackets are included in the package before starting installation.

How to compare your options: When choosing an electronic bidet seat, primary comparison factors include heating mechanism, control design, and profile memory settings. Models with instantaneous water heating provide continuous warm water rather than relying on limited heated tanks. Look closely at whether control buttons are attached to the seat side panel or provided via a wireless remote control, as wireless controllers offer easier access and support multiple stored user profiles like the four settings featured here.

Set up the wireless remote control in an easily reachable location near the toilet, and take time to save your preferred spray and heating preferences into one of the four available user memory slots for quick one-touch activation during future visits.

Maintain the self-cleaning wand according to the manufacturer guide included in the packaging, checking that the automatic rinsing function operates smoothly after each use cycle.

If cleaning the SoftClose seat and Cotton White exterior surfaces, use mild, non-abrasive cloths and gentle cleaners as recommended in the manual to protect the electronic housing and keep the built-in nightlight clear of debris.

If you plan to be away from home for an extended period, review the user manual to see if turning off seat heating functions or disconnecting power is suggested to conserve energy.
