Detailed Review
The Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum is an intelligent stick vacuum engineered for whole-home deep cleaning across multiple surface types. It solves the everyday problem of missing hidden dirt by revealing fine dust on hard surfaces and automatically ramping up power when heavier debris is detected.
Daily cleaning is guided by real-time data shown directly on the built-in LCD screen. The display shows your current power mode, precise battery life remaining to the second, maintenance alerts, and a tally of picked-up particles as you work. An energy-saving power trigger ensures battery power is only spent while actively cleaning, providing up to 60 minutes of run time.
Floor care is split between two specialized cleaner heads. The Fluffy Optic head reveals invisible dust while staying gentle on delicate hard flooring, whereas the Digital Motorbar deep cleans across all floor types while actively de-tangling long hair and pet hair. For above-floor messes, the machine converts to a handheld vacuum and pairs with a Mini Motorized tool that uses a concentrated motorized brush bar for stairs, mattresses, and upholstery, alongside three Dyson-engineered accessories.
As a cordless unit, its 60-minute run time will vary depending on power modes and debris levels encountered during use. The trigger design also requires continuous finger pressure while cleaning, which may not suit everyone looking for a simple push-button on/off switch. Additionally, the manufacturer does not specify the exact weight or dustbin volume in the product data.
Verdict: The Dyson V15 Detect is an exceptional choice for busy homes with mixed flooring and shedding pets that need strong suction and intelligent power management. It delivers deep, versatile cleaning with clear real-time feedback from floor to ceiling.
