Detailed Review
The OUCAXIA C5 Robotic Pool Cleaner is an automated, cordless vacuum designed to take the manual labor out of pool floor maintenance. Built for residential flat-bottom pools up to 2,200 square feet, it works across both above-ground and inground setups. It is compatible with vinyl liner, fiberglass, mosaic tile, and concrete surfaces, collecting dirt, leaves, and sand without needing hose hookups or booster pumps.
Powered by a 6-cell 4500mAh rechargeable battery, the cleaner delivers up to 180 minutes of continuous runtime on a single charge. Its dual suction inlets and high-speed motor handle floor debris and navigate slopes up to 10 degrees. Fine particles like dust and silt are captured by a washable 180μm mesh filter, while larger waste collects inside a top-loading 2.7-liter basket that minimizes how often you need to empty it.
Daily operation is straightforward thanks to a simple one-touch start. Because it operates completely cordless, there are no tangled cables to manage across the deck. Once the cycle finishes or the battery runs low, the cleaner automatically parks itself near the pool wall, where you can lift it out using the included retrieval hook. A rapid 10-second water-drain design empties internal water quickly to keep the unit lightweight during removal.
There are a few design boundaries to keep in mind. The C5 is engineered specifically for floor cleaning on flat surfaces or mild inclines up to 10 degrees, meaning it is not built to climb walls, scrub steps, or clean the waterline. Additionally, while the runtime is specified at 180 minutes, the manufacturer does not state the exact recharging time required between cycles.
Verdict: The OUCAXIA C5 is a practical, user-friendly choice for owners of flat-bottom pools up to 2,200 square feet who want reliable floor cleaning without dealing with hoses or cords. If you need dedicated floor maintenance with a large debris capacity and long battery life, this vacuum fits the bill.
